I've need to modified a file I created with Illustrator. When
it into FW it did not look quite the same. I then modified it
back to a AI file. Will the image still remain scalable? When
I zoom in
with FW the image looks pixlated.
It's possible that some techniques and features of the
were not imported directly into Fireworks. Saving as an
of Illustrator and then opening/importing into Fireworks
might be of
help when your file doesn't appear the same after opening in
Fireworks renders the strokes and fills in the file as
retains the vector editing capability. When you open the AI
Fireworks you should get a Vector File Options dialog that
allows you to
specify the resolution (the default is 72 Pixels per inch)
file will be rendered at in Fireworks. If you are importing,
change the resolution of the Fireworks file. Whether you
change the resolution, the output of your Web files will be
72 pixels per inch, so it's best to work at that resolution
The vectors are fully scalable just as in Illustrator and
when you scale or resize the vectors. When you zoom in, you
the rendered bitmap strokes and fills that are applied to the
objects. The important thing to make sure of is that the
vectors look good when viewed at 100% with the screen
selected for your images. Use Preview Mode to view how your
image will look.
I hope this clears up some of your questions.
