I think i might have worked it out...
It only seems to do it if i have a splash screen (ie a bmp file with the
same name as the projector in the root).
If i dont use a splash image, it all work fine?
odd. anyone know why or a workaround?

It sounds like a bug that was fixed with MX 2004 whereby when the splash
screen was removed on projector opening, the projector would be sent
behind other open windows.
You could either upgrade, or use Buddy API's
baSetWindowState(baWinHandle(), "stayontop") in your #prepareMovie handler
