You possibly need to edit your xtrainfo.txt file so that Director knows
where to find the xtra for cross-platform publishing. Or create a
Shockwave/slim projector and manually add the xtras yourself
the xtra is not shockwave safe, so I need to do the first option. Strange though, macromedia could have made this a bit more user friendly...
I added the xtra in the xtrainfo.txt file, but it still does not appear in the "add" list in director. None of the win .32 files do??
On the other hand, some xtra files that appear there are not to be found anywhere in the xtrainfo.txt file.
so I am still confused...
Any ideas, anyone experience with crossplatform publishing with xtras in it?

No, you are not restricted to the first option - don't be confused about
the use of the word Shockwave in that context - it has nothing to do
with the browser plugin and you aren't restricted to SW-safe xtras. See:
