#swa members aren't designed to do this - they stream once and aren't
cached locally for looped playback
after reading and testing everything i am afraid it is impossible :(
i was a little bit confused because i found this technote which is describing a problem when shockwave audio file is looped.
and the help file contains the entry "loop" for the shockwave audio object, which is defenitely not working...
i thought there could be a workaround, something like getting the path to the place where the file is loaded and link it to a #sound member. Anyway would be a great feature, because this would make it possible to use large soundloops for background music and they would not need to be preloaded. Or is there a way to do use real swa files instead of mp3? Maybe with cuepoints? Or is this defenitely not working when the file is streamed?
Ok, thanks for the help so far, if in find a simple way i will post it here...
Your safest option is to preload the entire file then set the filename
of a #sound member (not a #swa member) to the original URL. Then you can
loop, fast forward, start part way through, ...
