I am having the exact same problem. I have been researching ways in which to deal with this problem/bug but so far no joy. I'll report back when and if I have any luck.
Ok, I am not alone. Adobe? Any suggestions here?
I have tried get my hands on the uninstaller without success... hoping that if I can run it, it will clean out whatever is stopping the AIR installer.
Hey petezog! I tried doing this (from another thread on the issue/bug): Go to System Preferences > International > Language tab. Switch whatever language is on top (in my case English) and move any other language to the top position (you may need to log out/log back in or simply restart the Finder). Now try and install Air. It should work (it did for me).
After a successful install, replace English as the top language. Hope this works!
Go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Air Uninstall. Adobe keeps saying the uninstaller is in Applications - it is not. It is in the Utilities folder and Spotlight cannot find it.
AKMediaNYC , Thanks for this. I'll try it over the weekend and report back.
Chrisdat, I don't have the AIR uninstaller under the utilities folder.
You can try to delete the folder
to remove the AIR Runtime, then try to install AIR Runtime again.
Or you can wait for the next release comes out, then update the AIR Runtime with the new version.
