I have followed Guenter's dummy database approach by creating a update record transaction and tying the form variables to the behavior and my form works ok, BUT the email does not go.
What are the important steps to take or is even possible?
Can you elaborate a bit more? Are you using ADDT's email behavior tied to the update record transaction?
The description of your problem is a bit too general and could be caused by several different unrelated factors. Including, but not limited to, properly setting up the ADDT email behavior, your hosting configuration or specific settings in config files.
How did you configure the ADDT email behavior when you ran the wizard? Have you used the ADDT email behavior on this site with success already? What is your hosting config? Is this being tested on a live server? Do you have full access to configure the server?
