    Clean up XHTML behaviour

    Level 1
Hi - wondering if anyone can provide me with some more info on this behaviour. I assume Tidy.exe runs locally on a windows machine? If I expect multiple clients to use the form the behaviour is attached to do they all need the executable on their local machine? What about those that run OS X?

Has anyone/is it possible to run the required files on a remote server instead?

Basically, I'd love to have the ability to clean up (like convert & to & etc) submitted text boxes on my forms. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

      Long live ADDT!

          Hi,

Tidy is available for PHP 4.3.x and PHP 5 as a PECL extension from http://pecl.php.net/package/tidy

          -------
I assume Tidy.exe runs locally on a windows machine?
          -------

Windows users can download the extension dll from http://pecl4win.php.net/ext.php/php_tidy.dll

For more information about the Tidy PHP extension please read: http://us2.php.net/tidy

          Cheers,

Hi Gunter - so does your reply mean the behaviour can use the PECL extension instead of the local .dll? I assume this means modifying the location of the script in the config file from the local dll to the server extension? Have you actually tried that (or anyone else for that matter)?

            Thanks again

              ---------

the PECL extension seems to be for Linux/Unix servers, whereas the .dll variant is meant for servers runnung on Windows

you mean configuring it in php.ini ?

              I didn´t
