    Sessions, I think

      I am new to coding and need a little help with something that is probably very simple.

      I am building a membership based site with ADDT. I want to add a line of text at the top of the members page thats simply says .....Welcome, (name of logged in user)......

      It looks like it should be really simple but i have no idea where to start or even what you would call something like this so i could search for a solution.

      Any help would be much appreciated

          Hi Gareth,

          one of ADDT´s native Session variables is "kt_login_user" which represents the user name you want to display, and you can add this variable to your page the following ways:

          1) in Code View: Hi there,

          2) using DW´s server behaviours:

          a) select the "Dynamic Text" server behaviour, and
          b) select Session -> kt_login_user

          BTW, if it´s a manually created PHP page and not one of ADDT´s Dynamic List or Forms, you´ll need to add...

          ... on line 1 to make this page recognize the Session

          Cheers,
