    mail labels from MySQL database

I created a site for a friend that collects names and addresses into a MySQL database. My friend has not asked yet, but I think it's the next step for him. That is, I am sure he will want to be able to print mailing labels from the names in the database. Is there an easy way to do that? Is there an extension (free or paid) that can make this easier than hand coding?

One way would be to create a page that creates an XML list, he can then
run the page that creates the XML, then import that into Word or Excel
          to do whatever he wants.

I think there is an extension in the ADDT that does this, and there is
also an article somewhere on Adobe.com that shows you how to do this.
