Link between CHMs

I want to create a link between two CHMs that reside in the same directory from the TOC. For example, just for context, I have the following:
Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

Link 3 links to a remote topic. The link opens successfully in the right pane of the CHM, but I want the link to open the second CHM help, not open in the same frame.

I selected new window in the properties of the TOC but still no luck.

Hi, TechWriter77,

You can do this by linking the TOC entry to a topic that, when opened, fires a ShortCut control for opening the second .chm file. See the example below.

I think Rick also covers this in his Tips and Tricks file ("Launching HTML Help Shortcuts from the TOC/Index" and "Launching external .CHMs").
