javascript code from rollover shifts centred page to the right

OK, I have a website that has a centred table for every page, so when you switch between them that are all in exactly the same place. My problem is that I try to add a rollover behaviour to an image on one of the pages, and when I preview it the centred page is not in line wih the other pages - it is slightly to the right. I have come to the conclusion that when I add the behaviour it inserts some preload javascript code into the head section of the HTML and effects the centred table.

Anyone have any idea how to get around this so that the table remains centred and the javascript does not effect it?
