Then I have to test "flattening" the page, an look, what will happen.
All that should work with Reader. I'll see...
I'm not sure it will work with Reader. The only way it could is if the PDF were Reader-enabled.
The "flattenPages()" method will not work with Reader. Also you should be aware that flattenin a PDF will add the text or line to the background of the PDF and will not make a text or line that could later be edited with the text or object selection tool in the PDF.
From the Scripting Reference:
"Converts all annotations in the specified page range to page contents. If a page range is not specified, converts annotation for all the pages in the current document. NOTE:Great care must be used when using this method. All annotationsincluding form fields, comments and linkson the specified range of pages are flattened; they may have appearances, but they will no longer be annotations."
