How are you running this script?
Works perfect in 7 and I said above.
I would try passing a reference to the current document as a parameter to the function and using that reference in the function instead of "this":
var oDoc = my_doc.openDataObject(my_doc.dataObjects[i].name);
Are all of the attachments PDFs, or something else?
Yes they are all PDFs.
Have you tried my suggestion?
Thank you for all your help. I have not tried your suggestion yet. I am out of the office today but will get to it first thing in the AM.
Another thing. I downloaded the trial of Acrobat Pro 9 yeasterday morninig ( I am still trying to figure out how to install the SDK ) and the original script works fine (prints all attachements) in Acrobat Pro 9 but not Reader 9.
>( I am still trying to figure out how to install the SDK
It's a ZIP file. Unzip it. The documentation will be another ZIP file
The SDK is a collection of documentation and samples. It won't affect
your Acrobat setup in any way.
I imagine Adobe have just moved the functionr to some obscure menu, as
they so like to do.
Please note that you need Pro or Pro Extended - Standard does not include the JS Debugger.
Thanks for the info. I took and quick peek and couldn't find it. I will check again tomorrow when I am back in the office. I assumed it might be a plug-in or something that might come with the SDK that need to be installed, and nothing came up when I search for Debugger under the help from within Acrobat Pro 9
George I tried your suggestion and the same thing occured. Funny thing is my original script would work ok in 9 Pro but not 9 Reader. Through trial and error I found that if I commented out 'oDoc.closeDoc();' the script worked perfect in both 9 Pro and Reader- all attachements printed.
I have tested in 7, 8, and 9 Reader and only tested in 7 and 9 Pro. Eveything works fine.
Does anyone know if I will run into issues not closing the documents , or are they closed automatically after printing? I don't want to run into memorty isssus down the road.
Thanks in advance for all the advice,
