How was the form created, Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer?
How are you having the calcualaiton done?
Thanks for the answer. The form was created by Acrobat. The value is calculated by simplified field notation.
You can use the "Validate" tab's custom validation script with the following script:
if(event.value == 0) event.value = ''; //for zero make field null
Ok but I have cases in which the value is really zero, for example 'A - B' is the simplified field notation and A = 5 and B = 5. Can I in some way change the default behavior of the form? I want this field's value to be null or zero depending on that what the user has filled in other fields.
The you will need to test all the other fields to see if they have zero.
Also, you may need to consider the situation where all the other fields really have a value of zero?
I just want to have null value in a calculated field by default.
