Why not? What happens when you try it?
1) Can highlight text, but can't copy highlighted text.
On Windows I use ctrl-x, ctrl-c, and ctrl-v. What did you use?
Thanks - got 'cut & paste' to work using "ctrl" key.

He must have tried the widely used Windows command right-click followed by a selection in the "local" menu.
That was my first reaction, too.
This popup menu was removed.

Well, I thought that, but he said "nothing happens", not "there was
nothing in the menu". This led me to think something specific was
being tried, which did not have the expected effect.
