Yes, this is possible.

That isn't possible. You can't use Adobe Acrobat on a server.
How is it possible in js? I haven't been able to find an example or any syntax.
Awesome. So setAction can attach functions to WillClose, WillSave, DidSave, WillPrint, and DidPrint. Also setPageAction can attach functions on page open and close.
Also.. is there any way to attach a function to an add annotation/comment event? Or perhaps a menu item clicked or context menu item clicked event?

With version 6 and above there is the "addScript()" method for the doc object.
Create a beeping sound every time the document is opened.
this.addScript("My Code", "app.beep(0);");
Will create a document level script titled "My Code".
