does anyone know a way to automate or batch create watermarks based off a list or database?
My basic problem is that when i watermark i have to use the single recipients name as the watermark, but it is always on 1 document at a time. However i must do this for approximately 300 people (300 people, 300 different names as watermarks, 300 different files to print and distribute)
does anyone know a way to automate, script, or somehow batch process this so i can basically create a list/database and have acrobat process the watermarks and print the documents from that list so i do not have to repeat myself 300 times?
The Doc.addWatermarkFromText() method should do what you want.
While Acrobat XFA forms do provide an OLEDB interface, it would probably be simplest to write a VB app that pulls the information from your database and then uses the Acrobat JSObject to call addWatermarkFromText with your returned information.
