    validating fields

      Hi all,

      I have a few text fields on a form in acrobat and I checked the required option in the text field properties dialogue. I noticed that if I use the "submit form" action on a button to send the form data via email, then the text fields are automatically validated since I checked the required button.

      The problem is that instead of using the "submit form" action, I have the following javascript code attached to the submit button:

      this.mailForm(true, "email@email.com", "", "", "RSVP", "Please register me");

      I need this because it gives me more options to customise the email which the submit form action doesn't give, but when I use this javascript it doesn't validate the fields. Do I have to manually code the validation if I use the javascript method over the "submit form" action? If so, can someone tell me how to do this?

      Appreciate any help offered.
