iText is not an Adobe product nor part of the Acrobat SDK. You should probably ask on a forum that deals with iText if that is the API you are using.
Thanks for the reply! Do you know of a way to accomplish this without iText? I would imagine iText or any other 3rd party API is just exposing inherent Acrobat functionality.
You can use the PDF Open Parameters. Anything else would require using the Acrobat SDK and possibly developing a plug-in.
Why wouldn't open params work with an FDF? You can even specify the FDF in the open params.
I'm generating the xfdf dynamically from a database and merging it with the pdf.
I have the same problem.
In my pdf file, I have set the /ViewerPreferences to hide the navigation bar on the left in Acrobat Reader:
/ViewerPreferences<</HideWindowUI true /HideMenubar false /HideToolbar true >>
However, this is also removing the scrollbars from the display!
Is there a way to remove the left navigation toolbar and still show the scrollbars in Acrobat Reader using settings in the pdf file?
Matthew, did you ever come up with a solution?
