I moved your message here. It had nothing to do with the topic you attached it to.
Which version of InDesign are you using? Have you read any of the documentation?
Have you read any of the documentation? It doesn't seem so :-)
Vivek Singh, the documentation is a great tool for understanding object model. Once you got the main concept of hierarchy between objects, accessing objects is quite a child game.
I am not meaning scripting is easy but have a look on the documentation, it's a essential starting point. I bought too the Peter Karhel's guide
it's really cheap regarding to the quality of the learning.
Welcome in this world.
BTW, masterspreads is a property of document. So you should work with something like :
Sorry, but you did't understand my problem. The problem is that when we apply a master to the page, we can't touch the master page items but when we press CMD+SHIFT (in MAC) and click of the mouse buttom on the document page, the ohject is ready to work on it.
I want to work this by Scripting where we add a textBox on Master and use that textBox as a page Ohject.
Read about the override() method for page items.
Sorry if I misunderstood you :-)
Detaches an overridden master page item from the master page.
PageItem.override (destinationPage: Page ):any
Overrides a master page item and places the item on the document page as a new object.
destinationPage: Data Type: Page
The document page that contains the master page item to override.
So, once you applied the master page, you can use one of these two commands to reach your goal.
X & Y may take this form or items(0) or item("xxx")
It really works and thanks for your support.
