Auto Preflight on Close - CS2

      Hi There,

This may be a stupid question, but does anyone know if there is a way to set up Indesign so that it runs the Preflight command automatically whenever you close Indesign? I have very little experience in scripting etc..so a basic explanation would be appreciated.

      Thanks.

I would probably do this without scripting, creating a simple sequence
using a macro program (in my case QuicKeys) and assigning it to cmd/
ctrl-q, the normal quit keycode. That would be something like:

          1. Choose File > Preflight menu command. (I don't have this in CS4.)
          2. Pause and wait for user (to do whatever, if anything, in relation
          to preflight).
          3. Choose InDesign > Quit InDesign menu command.

If you don't have a macro program and don't want to use one, and if
you can edit keyboard shortcuts in CS2, then I suppose you could
assign Preflight to the quit keycode, but then you would have to do a
menu quit or use another keycode to "really" quit. OR, you could
probably script the quit routine and assign it to cmd/ctrl-q in
InDesign, but then you have to know how to script it.
