I have a script that iterates through a bunch of documents and creates HyperlinkTextDestinations. In one of the documents (only one), it works fine for half of it and then stops working. No errors appear. The only thing I can think of is that there is some kind of restriction on naming the HyperlinkTextDestination. Does anyone know of any naming restrictions for HyperlinkTextDestinations (like text legnth, characters, etc.)?
The author may have captured and hid the error. It could stop for other reasons, too many to name... and some more likely than a string issue. Edit the script with text pad and look for a 'try...catch...end try' exception handling lines. If it's there, you'll want to send the error to a message box. Otherwise you're just crashing, eh?
That must be it. I created a function that clips off any hidden characters (basically any characters that aren't found on the key board) from the ends of the strings I was generating for my HyperlinkTextDestination names and now the script works fine.
