To whom it may concern,
I have just purchased and recieved my copy of the the Premium Creative Suite for the PC, but I have yet to find any font other than Warnock and Brioso Pro family. (Brioso comes as a gift with registration). I have searched every CD included with the suite, but nothing close to the list on this forum.
Did you install the software? Or just pop in the discs to look at them?
Rene: I called Customer Service about the fonts. The person I spoke with said the extra fonts are bundled with Illustrator. I wonder how many fonts come with Illustrator standalone as compared to the suite.
After installation, look in directory
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts
The other fonts are placed in that directory by the installers of the Creative Suite. If you wish to access those fonts in applications other than just those in the suite, you may move those OpenType fonts to the system fonts directory.
Thank you Dov!
Dov stated what I was just coming here to state. Make sure, however, that you don't move the required folder or you will regret it.
LRK: There are messages posted in the Illustrator and InDesign forums about the fonts bundled with those apps. In addition, there is a separate thread right next to this one about the whole subject.
Thanks you Dov,
Appreciate it and I will now be able to take advantage of those fonts!
Thomas: I don't have time to find that thread, "right next to this one". I looked for it and there is a string of topics so long it made my head spin. If you have a link it would help.
>I don't have time to find that thread, "right next to this one".
If it's important, then please make the time! Silver platters are just not part of the forum experience. Thanks.
Gee thanks! I will look again.
This is what I see:

We all volunteer OUR time here, so if it sounds as if there is a bit of attitude in my post....
There was... I understand perfectly about volunteering of time. I've been here a while.
I just didn't see the darn thing.
I'm sorry for taking your time. I'll work on this when I have time to research on my own.
Please understand. We're more than happy to assist. We're NOT happy when someone thinks his or her time is more valuable than ours. Or if the post gives that impression.
Please try: "Creative Suite vs. InDesign CS vs. Illustrator CS bundled fonts"
I believe this is the post Thomas was referring to.
Wow Neil. I guess I'm pretty insensitive. I had no idea I was asking for so much. I just wanted the name or the link. Thanks for the link.
I was looking in the wrong place.
I get the message.
Linda,<br /><br />No problem. All is forgiven. <vbg><br /><br />Neil
Sorry, wrong thread.
For those interested as I was, here is a rough table to help compare what comes with each application and the whole suite:
Brioso is a free download when you register on the web and is only
applicable to those in North America.
It's good to see all that content placed in perspective. Much obliged!
When I said "right next to this one" I meant it literally. The two threads are permanent topics, and the other thread is directly below this thread. I didn't think I was asking too much to suggest that somebody go there.
However, I will edit my original post to add a link to that other post.
I'm sorry Thomas. I honestly couldn't find it when I looked. I think I've been amply reprimanded for one day.
Linda,<br /><br />No more apologies. Please! <vbg><br /><br />Neil
Yup, no big deal. But I've added the link for the next person, 'kay?
"There are certainly some issues that I do know of that make it harder or less financially viable for US companies to treat their European customers on equivalent terms to their US and Canadian customers. I don't know the issues around the registration incentive in particular, and I will try to find out."
Anything new on that front?
Well, I'm a North American registered user. I registered my CS Premium yesterday in my account - but I've not seen or heard a whiff about how the heck I will get hold of the Brioso fonts. So what's the story here? Will I get a download email - or a snailmail letter! - about this in a month or two?
Thomas Phinney, I'd appreciate if you could please clarify.
When you registered (it sounds like you registered online) there was a small notice (easy to miss at the bottom of the registration page) with a link to offers for people who register.
No problem. Just register again, and look for the link at the bottom.
I thought you downloaded them as part of the registration process.
While I was registering as part of the installation process, Safari conked out. So, I didn't get Brioso either. I called Customer service and found out the information that's already been offered. I didn't have to reregister. I just went into my account and to the registration page. I clicked on the small button at the bottom, and downloaded Brioso with no problem. If you do have a problem, call Customer service. I found them very helpful. Of course, this only works if you've ordered one of the Suites.
Granted, the link to the free font package is poorly placed and hard to find. I had a similar problem. I re-registered, found the fonts, downloaded them, and found that I had no duplicate registration.
Steve and Marilyn, thanks! Yes, I will login to that page again.
But given that this Brioso is intended as an INCENTIVE and/or REWARD to register, Adobe sure is playing annoyingly hard-to-get!
I did some much needed maintenance on my Web site the other night and lost the font list. It's now back up again.
Here is the link again: http://www.graphicspalmbeach.com/forum/fonts/fonts.html
Thanks for the table LRK... and everyone as well for the tips to look for that little button at the bottom. I'm sure I would have missed that.
Would a European purchaser of the Creative Suite who registered online, ignored the notice about the registration offer being available to US and Canadian purchasers only, and downloaded the Brioso fonts, be penalised in any way?
Now that we know who you are, you're in serious trouble!
Ah, but you don't know *where* I am!
