          'boxes' will expand to fit the text.

          a 'box' can be any container...P, DIV, TD, etc.

          You can set the size of those containers via CSS.

            Hi Darrel

            didn't explain myself properly, I need the text and dropdown boxes to be
            smaller in height and also the text that's inside them. I have a booking
            page with plenty of fields but they take up too much room need to reduce the
            height, can you help?

            Regards
            Simon

              Possibly. How about giving us a link to the page in question?

                Create a class in your CSS, something like:

                .mock_up {
                height: 15px;
                font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
                font-size: .75em;
                }

                And then call it on the drop-downs you wish in your <form>:

                <select ... class="mock_up">
                <option ...>Option 1</option
                <option ...>Option 2</option>
                </select>

                If this isn't what you're after - post a URL, please.
