PVII will probably always be king, but as anyone checked out this site? Everything is free.

Its all free and from lots of different sources. PVII has dedicated
support for there extensions, they really know what they are doing. I
look forward to seeing what they come out with this year, maybe an AJAX
          Framework of there own?

Also, unsupported, and mostly crappy stuff.... It's as diametrically
opposite to PVII as you can get.

Dynamic Drive has been around as long as we are. They do have some good
scripts, but the caveat is that they are a clearing house for submitted
scripts, much like the Adobe Exchange, and hence there is no real quality
              assurance.

Which is abundantly clear from some of their stuff. The problem is, when
you go there without enough experience to judge what is good and what is
snake oil, you are just throwing a dart at the wall, so to speak.

Yes. It's kind of like, well, if you know enough to judge the quality of the
script you are likely capable of writing it yourself. And since there are no
mitigating factors, such as automation or personal support...

don't worry boys, i know you get what you pay for. just wondered what people thought of it. i had never seen it before. there are one or two good effects on there though, that work cross browser.
