    PIctures wont show in preview

    ker2074 Level 1
I'm trying to preview my pages in Firefox and IE. However when I try and do so for firefox all the images are blocked with a paper torn in half as a small icon. In IE they are also blocked but with an x icon on each image.

Can someone please tell me how I can preview the pages properly.

      Thanks in advance.

Probably means they are linked to the page incorrectly.

Have a look in the Properties Inspector and see if you have a leading
slash / infront of the image name. If so that means they are linked
'site relative' and not 'document relative'

When you first insert an image into the document you can choose either
          'site relative' or 'document relative'.

If this is not the issue then the images could not be showing because
they reside outside of your 'site root folder'. In other words you
imported them into your document from another location on your computer
rather than from the 'site root folder'

Check those two possibilities and get back if you still have an issue.

PREFERENCES | Preview in browser > Enable Preview with temp files.

Thanks for your reply. I removed the / before the image name and now the image wont show up in dreamweaver. Further the image doesn't show up on the preview either. I have a feeling its something pretty simple. But obviously as you can tell im a newbie at this.

              Thanks

I was abele to figure it out. Like you said in your reply I had to define the site as a document. Sorry for the confusion.

                Greatly appreciated.
