I 2nd that request, An Example. I want to compare to bit accuracy 2 mono files being the L&R halves of an interleaved stereo file.The obvious approach would be Pan L&R files L&R, polarity invert the stereo file & set gains the same. Silence will be the result if the pair = the stereo.
Well it seems to be impossible in AA3. the 6dB panning law is almost certainly 6.01dB (1bit) similarly the 3db pan is clearly not 3dB. IMO this is sensible & reasonable but unfortunately 6dB on the fader level is not like this - the result is it's impossible to do a null test between 2 mono & 1 stereo files without having to copy the stereo file to 2 further mono's. drat.
