CS4 is a separate program from CS2 so there should not be any interaction. I still am with CS3, will wait for a few more bugs to be worked out. Make sure you have the latest ACR version, they seem to change rapidly.
A first aid approach with unusual behavior in Bridge CS3 is to reset preferences. Since you get frequent crashes this may be a good start. Press and hold down Crtl key and start Bridge. You should get a reset window, choose all 3 options.
Perhaps this will correct problems.
Thanks for the reply. Just tried the reset trick, will report back on the results. Where will I find the latest ACR?
Should be on the Adobe web page as download. Think current version is 5.2. To see what you have open PS and click on help/about plugins/camera raw
see this link in photoshop forum
CS3 was (for me) the beginning of a bridge nightmare. And nothing I did fixed the crashes. Not to mention it doesn't read all files. WMF, SVG... very erratic. Yet Ill opens all of them.
I downloaded the trial of CS4 and see that they haven't addressed any of the CS3 problems. Not one.
