Would be useful to know what system you are on and which app is hosting Camera Raw (Bridge or Photoshop) and what you've done to troubleshoot already...
I resolved this issue. I have a Nvidia 9800GTX+, I went into the Control Panel, in Manage 3D Settings/Program Settings, I found Nvidia has added a CS4 Program heading. The settings had defaulted to the Global Settings. I adjusted them to match my LR2 settings, bang, all works correctly now.
Thanks Jeff. Looking forward to your new book on ACR 5.0.
Glad you got it sorted (and posted what you did!!!)

Working on it even as I post :~)
It should be out in December, 2008. I delayed the release a bit to make sure I got "the most recent version" incorporated in the book (and no, I'm not talking about Camera Raw 5.1 due next week).
Thanks for the update Jeff. Your ACR 4 book really rocked my photo-world. I was getting just a small fraction of the results possible from ACR, before I read your book.
See this post for settings I use.
No, you didn't delete anything. Every time you come back to the forum you are shown only the last post you read and all new ones. To see all messages in the thread just click on "Show All Messages".
I see you figured it out. :)
