Lightroom does NOT use the Camera Raw plug-in! Lightroom 2.2 will be released sometime during the month of December, and that is when you will get whatever updates that are planned. There is no way for you to get Camera Raw 5.2 to work with Lightroom. It doesn't work that way. Lightroom and ACR share a common "pipeline", but the two are not directly related at all.
Volker, why do you want to install ACR 5.2 in Lightroom? Are you looking for a specific camera support? If so, please use the DNG converter.
See Jim's message. Lightroom does not use ACR5.2 or any other version of
ACR. It has it's own built in version of ACR!
Thanks a lot everyone.
I was looking for lightroom-support for my 5dII, doesn´t matter, so i´ll wait a few days for the new lightroom.

As said above, you can get 5DmkII support in Lightroom 2.1 right now by simply converting your CR2 files to dng using Adobe's free DNG converter. It takes just a few seconds and works perfectly. Use the default conversion settings and you're golden. Simply archive the originals if you ever want to open them in Canon software at some time. You only need LR 2.2 if you want to read the CR2 files natively.
