Are these compatible with the Canon EOS 5D MkII with firmware v1.07 installed, or is this going to come in a later update?

From the website:
2. This release addresses possible artifacts that could appear in Canon EOS 5D
Mk II sRAW files.

5.3 is thus far working well--no brush sluggishness, no memory leaks, etc. This is on an intel 9550,8 gigs Ram, 2.85 quad core, Nvidia 8600GT, fast SATA 2 and firewire drives.
Looking good on a Mac G5 (OSX 10.4.11) as well.
And the Installer did its job correctly and smoothly too I notice that a new "CustomHooks.dylib" has been installed in the same location as the new plug-in.
Yikes! Whose bright idea was it to put the actual download files on the macromedia .com server?
(As in http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/cameraraw/5-3/dngconverter_5-3_p1_mac_012309.dmg)
Very slow server. You'd think we were downloading a whole creative suite.
Anyway, thank you very much for the update and for the announcement. :)
Ramon, we've been using the same server for all the recent Labs-based release candidates (including the DNG Profile Editor). It does get slow in the hours immediately after a release, of course, esp. when everybody goes there at once. ;-)

Sorry, I hadn't noticed. Thanks for pointing it out, Eric.
i am having a problem in loading ARC5.3 to my mac. I am using a Nikon D3X. Is there any way of getting ARC5.3 apart from the labs download ? Would really like to use the RAW files from my D3X and can not at the moment.
Eric, I'm about to start using the 5D Mark 2 with CS3 and LR2. My understanding is that ACR5 is not compatible with CS3. Does this mean that I will have to put up with the artifacts unless I now upgrade to CS4?
At a guess, you will be able to use the DNG Converter 5.3 with CS3, when it is released.
A release candidate version of the DNG Converter 5.3 is already available, as the original post declares.
However, the upgrade to CS4 is a no-brainer on the strength of ACR 5.2 and later alone in comparison to ACR 4,x.
Incidentally, the DNG Converter does not need any version of Photoshop to work.
Has an update been scheduled for Elements 7 for RAW photos with a Canon Powershot G10?
Use ACR 5.2, which has been available for quite a while now.
this release seems to give black bands in NEF files from a D2X, also sometimes i get colour bands on photoshop files generated from CS3
That sounds like a hardware problem.
Was it really necessary to make the ReadMe file a 948kb PDF document in 22 languages, the English part of which was just 6 pages repeating what was on the web site?
Come on, John, do you really want to have to pick between 23 languages.
The issue is that most users don't check the website.
Eric, it's been a few days since the release of LR 5.3 and ACR 5.3, and I cannot download ACR 5.3 via Help>Updates, as is recommended. LR was able to acknowledge that an update was available within hours of its availability, but my copy of CS4 Extended (as part of Production Premium) hasn't yet.
Is there a delay in providing automatic updates through Help>Updates, or could there be a problem with my copy of CS4 Extended?
I would appreciate any assistance given with this, as I prefer the automatic download process, compared to the additional steps necessary when downloading the installer.
I assume you are on Windows. Please try Help-Update again, it should be available now. Sorry for the delay.
You are correct.I apologize for not providing OS (Windows Vista).
As suggested, I tried the Help>Update again, which now performs the update as expected. ACR 5.3 is up and running on my system, and I encountered no problems in updating this way. Thanks for addressing the matter so quickly. It is appreciated.
Thanks, also, to all the engineers for the work you have done, not only to ACR, but also to LR and PS.
Glad to hear it's working for you now.
