I don't believe that is possible, unless that functionality has been introduced quietly in one of the latest version without its being announced.
If you activate the Presets tab, the preview switch will turn on/off all changes made in that edit session.
I ran across that tip on PhotoshopUserTV on Scott Kelby's site.
You can also use the fly-out menu and cycle between Image Settings and Custom Settings but that is a little less elegant.
Thank you, Dennis.
yes, geniuos, thanks!
I believe that the Snapshots tab also allows Preview to show all effects. But I don't think that either turns off the preview of the Adjustment Brush or Graduated Filter.
You're right, John. I hadn't tried it with those adjustments. Too bad. Please consider that a feature request. :)
The Image Settings/Custom Settings from the fly-out menu does appear to toggle everything so I guess that is a work-around meanwhile.
John cannot take requests. :) There is a Camera Raw feature requests thread in this forum.
A simple work-around is to take a 'Snap Shot' at the start of the session, so you can always return to the beginning.
where can I find that "Presets tab" ?! I`d like to to have a solution which doesn´t force my attention to the mouse arrow in order to toggle between Snapshot 1 and 2. So a simple checkbox like "Preview" is way better to keep the eyes on the image. But I don't know where to find that tab!
The Presets tab is the next to last tab on the right side of the ACR panel. The tab has a little icon that looks like equalizer sliders.
You can also use the last tab, Snapshots, the one that has the icon that looks like post-it notes. This is for ACR v5.x.
