In the ACR dialog box, click and hold on the Crop Tool, then select Clear Crop at the bottom of the pop-up/drop-down menu. Done.
In Bridge, select the image and go to Edit > Develop Settings > Clear Settings. This removes all adjustments, not just the crop.
Nothing, absolutely NOTHING is ever written to your raw file. All adjustments, including the crop, are kept in Metadata only.
Go to the Crop Tool's drop-down menu and choose "Clear Crop".
Sorry, I cross posted!
Except when crop tool is selected, ACR 5 displays only the cropped part of a cropped raw file. The original is still there, just hidden. If you want to view your original image you can see it and the crop rectangle within it by selecting the crop tool (press C). The uncropped part of the original image will be darkened, similar to crop in photoshop.
Many thank yous, folks! I appreciate your help.
