I understand what the tool does but I'm having trouble with the mechanics.
When I select the tool and place it where I might have a dust spot or two it draws a circular selection, and if I select another area to retouch it draws another circular selection. Both selections remain visible. I'm not sure I understand why.
Can I move the selections around the picture area so that I might be more precise? I've tried various keyboard combinations but the selections don't seem to move. Why do the selections remain visible even after removing the spots?
I just have the feeling I'm missing something. If someone can tell me the proper way to use this tool or direct me to instructions posted some place, I'd be greatful! I tried the Adobe help for ACR but didn't find instructions for this tool.
I had to figure it out too. Not sure my way is best but it seems to work.
First place the Retouch Tool where you want to use as a source, then place the tool over the spot. Then click on another tool to deselect it. If you hold the Option key down while clicking on the previous circles it will delete them.
I was not thinking!(dah) I was in a hurry, trying to use the tool like a spot healing tool not even thinking about a source. I was starting to think my Wacom tablet was out of wack, but it was just me.
