The only valid location is:
Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CS2/File Formats/
The reason you didn't find it is that you were most likely looking in the WRONG Library.
You need to look in the ROOT LEVEL Library, not your User Library under your Username. The path begins with the name of your hard disk:
NameOfYourBloodyHardDisk/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CS2/File Formats/
Remove all other ACR plug-ins from the wrong location you have them now.

Wish it were that simple though, I have a Macbook pro aswell Photoshop installed from a different installer and the path is the same.
I get as far as:
My BloodyHarddisc/application support/adobe---No plugins folder
A spotlight search reveals the plugin at
Is it possible to create the correct path
I also tried to nominate the current location in the plugin preferences to no avail
You need to install in the root/Library/App support, etc...and if you don't have the folder your Photoshop/Bridge install is hosed-nothing we can do about that.
