Can you post an example of such a file? Or email (or use yousendit.com) it to me (click on my name to see my email address).
Thomas - I've just sent it using yousendit.com (IMGP1080.pef) It's just a close-up of a cursor on my monitor.
Thanks very much!!
Thomas - also thought to send a file from the same series that *can* be read. (IMGP1097.pef). This one's size is 16,366KB in Windows Explorer. The previous one that can't be read is 16,496KB - looks like the "cutoff" is somewhere between.
Hi - was just wondering if there's any news on this?
This will be fixed in the next release.
Do you have any idea what makes the files different? Do you use any Pentax software on some of the files somehow?
Thomas - Thanks! Apologies for not getting back sooner. I had thought any messages here would get sent to me via email (the earlier ones did)!
I haven't touched any of these files with Pentax software, in fact with any software, before bringing them into ACR. They are right off the card. And I'm not sure what makes them different, I guess that since PEF is compressed, there are certain images that the f/w cant' compress as much as others, so they end up a bit larger.
Very pleased to report that that the latest Lightroom with Raw 4.3 and Camera Raw 4.3 in Photoshop have corrected this problem as stated by Thomas Knoll.
Thanks for the fix Adobe :)
