It should be installed in Root (NOT USER)- library - application support - Adobe - plugIns - CS - file formats - Camera Raw.plugin
Nope, that is not true for Photoshop 8 (CS). :(
You are confusing it with the install location in later versions of Photoshop.
The correct path is ./Applications / Adobe Photoshop CS / Plug-ins / Adobe Photoshop Only / File Formats /
You don't have ACR installed correctly. The right location is:
./Applications / Adobe Photoshop CS / Plug-ins / Adobe Photoshop Only / File Formats /
Sometimes I wonder if you have a G4 DP or if you are one yourself... :-)
My own 'harddrive' seems to have a very limited memory section, that's for sure!!...
Thank you all for your replies!
I have moved the file to the new location suggested and continue to have the problem. I think I may try a reinstall of the program.
What program is associated with your raw files? is it preview that opens when you double-click on your image?
Did you remember to remove the old Camera Raw plug-in? You can only have one installed.
Photoshop is the program that opens when I double click images. It is also the program used to open images through Expression Media. I have re-installed Photoshop and removed the old Camera Raw and everything is just fine again. Still do not know what might have created the problem, but starting from the beginning helps (when needed).
Thanks again for your replies. My best to you all!
