You must download the free adobe dng converter, and then use acr 2.4 i believe to access your d200 raws. cs3 really has a nice updated version of acr that is worth looking in to.
Camera Raw 4.2 only works in PS CS3. And I believe camera raw 3.7 only works in PS CS2. So I'm thinking it's time to get PS CS3. You will like it!
Don thanks for the info. I was messing around last night and since I also have Elements 6.0 it looks like I can read a RAW file with that and do some editing. If I need to do something in PS CS I could write the image as a PS file and open it with CS.
I'll also check out the dng converter.
So you think a neophyte like me could appreciate CS3? If it were $50 I'd upgrade just on your and Dirk's comments, but $200. That's a bit above my pain threshold. lol
Elements is all you really need to get started, but you do need a newish version to support that Camera Raw add-in for your camera. Once you have those two pieces of software assembled, however, you should be in good shape.
Remember that if you install any Nikon software _after_ setting up ACR, that the Nikon plug-in will undo ACR...
