This is not working for some strange reason, but using batch through Bridge is a shortcut to PSCS.
If you are in the PSCS dialog box for batching you can change the source from Bridge to select folder, select this one and choose the main folder that contains the subfolders and you should be OK
I find it really hard to believe that this is not a problem for working folk (and hence that this has not been fixed, or talked about more)although I admit I have never had to use this feature before, despite processing hundreds, and sometimes thousands of images for jobs.
If I can't get this to work from Bridge, I will do all that sort of processing from a single folder, then sort into the folders the client needs as the next stage.
Thanks for the suggestion. Any others? cheers.

Try the Image Processor or, even better, Dr. Brown's Services, which is like the Image Processor on steroids, written by Russell Brown, same author as the Image Processor.
Dr. Brown's Services 1.9.4 is free and available at Russell Brown's page:
Ramón: thank you, sincerely.
I had completely forgotten the amazing Dr Brown! I will check this out and probably buy the "steroid" version. Much appreciated: this will allow me to keep the workflow the client needs and avoid yesterday's experience of needing to re-start the jpeg-making process in each folder. cheers, kl
>he amazing Dr Brown! I will check this out and probably buy the "steroid" version.
No need to "buy" anything. It's free! :D
Even better! Thanks, KL
I process many images with Dr Brown's 1-2-3 Processor, butalasit does not read subfolders either.
I will try Omke's suggestion next, but I am not sure if this will allow the "process subfolders" command to become accessible.
Is there somewhere suggestions for improvements, or where bug identifying can be done? TIA, Kit
There is a feature request section on top of every forum and you can always use the contact button top right to open a case with Adobe Tech support :-)
thanks Omkebut time is precious! Much better results from the power users like yourself!
I frankly find it hard to believe that this selectable optionthere in Batch processing since the beginning, AFAIK, does not workand that it is not more frequently asked for. As a working photographer, now that I have switched from Capture One to ACR, I am finding that I would really like to be able to work this way.
It's just curious that I could not find a single reference to this problem anywhere on these Forums. Anyhow.
Does your suggestion (accessing Batch from CSPS instead of Bridge) allow subfolder processing? cheers, KL
