Cursor not changing to 'hand' unless moved over image link.

Any idea why the cursor will not appear as the standard 'hand' cursor indicating that it is over an image link until it is moved several pixels?

This poses a problem because unless someone moves the cursor over an image the viewer will not be aware of the fact that it is in fact a link. And also because of this the title 'balloon' does not appear either until the cursor is moved.

My site (on which this is happening) is... http://www.theimagecache.com

And... THIS ... is one of the galleries for which it happens.

So... once one of the thumbnail images are clicked on, and a popup window opens, then if the central image is clicked on it will take you to the next image in a series of images. But each time a new image appears in the popup window... the cursor reverts to the arrow cursor, and it no longer appears that clicking on this new image will take you anywhere. However... if you move the cursor a few pixels the cursor will then change to the familiar 'hand' cursor indicating that it is a link.

Any ideas as to how I could avoid this would be appreciated.

      Thanks for any advice,
