no, bg is not a keyword.
But, if so, why is it colored as a keyword (as I described it in my previous posting)?
check your preferences to see what colors you're using: edit/preferences/actionscript.
I didn't change my preferences for years as I feel comfortable with my original choices.
My variable bg is colored as an Identifier.
close flash and reopen it. does that solve the problem? if not, are you using any components?
Since I noticed the problem, I have closed and reopen my file almost ten times.
And it is still there.
My question is one of simple curiosity because I didn't noticed any malfunction or error related to this "problem". And when I output my .swf, the output panel doesn't show any error.
This is mystery for me...
Why the h... is this word colored?
post a link to your fla and indicate the location of the problem.
Instead of including a link to a heavy (6.3MB) and highly sensitive file accessible to anyone, I prefer to post here a code sample...
The line where bg is colored is :
bgFld.text = myStats.bg;
i don't see that problem.
Did you paste the code in the ASPanel of Flash ?
Does bg at the end the line bgFld.text = myStats.bg; appears colored as an Identifier or not ?
In a previous post you asked me if I use some components.
The answer is yes.
I use ComboBoxes, RadioButtons and CheckBoxes in my file.
yes, i copied and pasted that code and i added those components and i don't see bg highlighted in myStats.bg.
