Need help with sizing content block

    Level 7
how can i force a content block to a certain height.. i found my issue with
the white spacing at the top of my last post pages.. to be the amount of
data on the page.. if there is small amount of content the space is very
large.. but if i add some <br> tags the space gets smaller until its the sam
as the rest of the pages.. i rather not clutter my pages with 10 <br> just
to get the same layout as the rest of the site..

      Any suggestions?

sounds like you are putting text in a table cell and not changing the cell's
vertical alignment. Middle is the default so in a tall cell (propped open by
content in one or more cells in the same row) minimal text will sit far from
          the top of the cell.

If that's the case change the cell's vertical alignment to top.

Actually no tables.. atleast not on these few pages.. its a Visual Studio
            Content block..

but what i was looking for is maybe a CSS property that i can use with a div
or span tag to adjust the width and height and force whats inside to stay
            within those dimensions..

HUH? Doesn't sound to me like something that should be in a web page. Did
you use Visual Studio to write the HTML?

Link please. This is too vague to go further without seeing the complete
              page.

Click on employment, then click on Corporate Jobs..
pay attention to the white space above the menu

on the main employment page the space is just right.. small think white
line.. but on the corporate page the space is larger.. if i add <br> to that
content at the bottom of the page, the space gets smaller.. and i can add
about 10 or so <br> and the spacing looks the same on both pages, but i
                rather not do that..

Yes there is a table and the element causing your problem is in a cell with
                  vertical-align:middle

i found what you mean.. but i changed the 2 references to veritcal-align and
made them both Top and still same issue...
sorry, i was only looking at my page code and not the masterpage code.. that

                    this the master page code..

                      Walt,

thank you very much for the help.. after your suggestions and more searching
online.. i found that using your css to make the image sit at the top
worked.. and then i used the Background-position to move it down a bit and
the spacing looks great across all browsers..

                      NOW...

the issue i have if you look Vendor Info, FAQ, Employment pages
                      http://66.162.81.144/cms400min/default.aspx

you will see that my content is left aligned.. i need the content to sit in
the middle of th white box and still be left aligned..

                      what am i doing wrong..
