How to show crop marks in PDF? (URGENT!)

    x_defect Community Member
I'm trying to save a copy of my file for printing. i've specified in the PDF dialogue box i want to display crop marks, but the PDF crops it at the edge of the document.
then i tried to make the document size larger so my graphic would be in the center, and put in my own guide marks - even this didn't work. the PDF looked exactly the same, as if i didn't change anything or add any graphics around the original.

why might this be happening? is there a wrong setting in the pdf dialogue box i may be missing or something?

I'm not sure what to tell you. I created an 8.5x11 page, drew a box, did a File-Print, selected my Acrobat PDF printer, told Ai to use all printer's marks, set the page size to 30x30 (just for grins) and printed. Got marks all over the place.

The only way to make the crop marks not print is to set the page size to my artboard size (Letter) and tell it not to scale and to Crop Artwork To: Artwork. Then I don't get printer's marks.
