    font problem / bold regular

    Level 7
      Hi,

I have a problem with some text members and two imported fonts. One is
regular and the other one is the same imported but as bold (same font
      but checkbox bold checked).

The problem is that after starting my application on one PC (Dell
optiplex 755) sometimes the bold font isn't bold. But after restarting
my application everything might ok. So this is a bit random and I can't
really find what the real reason is.

On other PCs I did not see this problem. I also tried on a Dell Optiplex
with reinstalled/fresh Windows XP. Seemed to be ok. A coworker said he
had a similar problem once and also on a Dell but he just made some
workaround with creating complete new fonts. Might be a solution but is
there anything I can do without making crazy workarounds? Anybody knows
      this problem?

      TIA

Hmm, now I noticed the same problem on the other Dell.

            Hi there,

It might be worth setting the font member's Cast Preload property to 'Before
Frame One', just in case it's trying to use the font before it's loaded into
memory, and defaulting to a non bold font (just a thought). Sorry if that
            doesn't help.

I set it to the fontname without "*" and set it manually to bold
instead of using an extra bold font version. I also installed the fonts
on the destination pc. Looked good.
