1. Re: Can preferences be set to override existing documents?
[Jongware] Oct 3, 2008 12:18 PM (in response to alan ruta)Not that I know of, but do send it to Adobe's Feature Request Form, as I could use that at times as well! -

alan ruta Oct 3, 2008 12:38 PM (in response to alan ruta)Yeah, well I just almost sent out a file with small black type knocking out. The client sent two almost identical file different sizes for different mags. For some reason the 2nd ad/file had black over print unchecked.
Clients doing but my fault of course, of course (a horse is a horse)
unless its Mr. Ed.

3. Re: Can preferences be set to override existing documents?
(Peter_Truskier) Oct 3, 2008 4:46 PM (in response to alan ruta)I think you could have a startup script that attaches itself to the "Open" event do the work for you every time a document is opened... -
4. Re: Can preferences be set to override existing documents?
alan ruta Oct 3, 2008 8:26 PM (in response to alan ruta)That is a great idea. I've only edited scripts, e.g. taken an existing script and modified it to work exactly as I need.
I will look into a script that does what I need. That would be really valuable.
If I succeed I'll give you a copy.
