    Sending HTML via email?

    gcaLuna13 Level 1
      Hi,

I created a webpage with disjointed rollovers and save it as - Photos.html

It's a simple picture gallery on a mock tv screen. It all works fine in DW using my web browser F12 button, however when I selected the same file via directory tree and sent it to a friend the images are not there.

Is there a way to do this? I don't necessarily want this on my website, I just thought it might be a cool thing to send around to friends and family so they can view images of my trip.

Like I said, I could easily email each photo, just thought this option would be fun to create and view.

      Thanks,
      Luna13

You have to send the file, the images, the CSS, etc. Everything on which
the display of that page is dependent.

Also, if this gallery relies on JavaScript or flash .swf files, that may be
blocked from executing in a mail client.

So I guess what I hear you saying is that it's not practical to send such a page by way of email, because I'd still be sending the pictures and everything associated with my html page. -hence the need for a website, huh?

              thanks

That's about the size of it.

If you had the photos online you create an HTML email that references
the online photos, that way when the person views the email it pulls the
images straight into the email.... but you would need a website to do this.
