      I want to get the geometric bounds of a placed inline graphic.

      ...
      var myPicture=myResults[i].insertionPoints[0].place(myPicFile);
      var myPicGeomBounds= myPicture.parent.geometricBounds[0].toString();
      app.consoleout(myPicGeomBounds);
      ...

      I get the right dimensions of the imagebox but the position is completely of the page, the first value for example is -473 points. In reality the value must be positive.

      What am I doing wrong ?

      Kind Regards,

          Problem solved lookin at the other InDesign Scripting forum:

          ...
          var myPicture=myResults[i].insertionPoints[0].place(myPicFile);
          var myRecomposeStory =myResults[i].insertionPoints[0].parentTextFrames[0].recompose();
          var myPicGeomBounds= myPicture.parent.geometricBounds[0].toString();
          app.consoleout(myPicGeomBounds);
          ...

          Kind regards,
