    Difference between Module and Component

When should each of them be used? It seems to me a module can contain many components, but not other way around.

A component is a subpart of an application get compiled into your application's main SWF while a module is an independent SWF that can be loaded/unload by application on demand.

A module itself can consist of many components.

A component definitely load/unload module but containment would actually kill the purpose of modules which is to delay their loading until needed.

If not sure, go for components!

It's usually when you expect your application to grow big that you take the modular approach. Creating the main shell in the main application SWF and then load other 'pages' as and when needed.

          Hope this helps.
