    Centered Browser view

      I'm new to Dreamweaver, but am trying to learn, and learn what I need to learn.

      I'm designing a page with a wide image (1490px) that should be centered on the page (will be in a centered table). No problem.

      However, I would also like the image to appear centered, even when someone's browser window is narrower than the image. I'm not sure how to go about this. Is it possible to make someone's page scroll to the right so that the center of the table (and the image) is in the center of the browser window?

          That is far too wide no matter the criteria applied. I suggest you seriously
          re-think your design approach.

          If you make it a background image on the body tag and center it you will get
          the effect you seek.

          Thank goodness, NO! And it is generally considered improper and at least
          somewhat arrogant to try to manipulate the visitor's browser. Today's web is
          considered by most to be The People's Internet, meaning it is
          visitor-centric, not designer-centric.
