1. copy/paste text in Fireworks CS3
heathrowe Nov 13, 2008 3:29 PM (in response to Steven::WebBees)Thats pretty much the nature of 'vanilla' copy/paste procedures.
Simple workarounds:
- Copy/Paste text as you normally do, then select the type Object, then Edit > Past Attributes
- Edit > Duplicate or Edit > Clone will also replicate the type layer with Styles/PI properties intact, then just simply retype over the existing type
As for TextMate to Fw I don't think styles from word applications is supported.

ArunKaza Nov 13, 2008 9:44 PM (in response to Steven::WebBees)Hi Steven,
Darrell is correct here. Copy-pasting text from applications such as textedit, textmate, textwrangler, msword etc into FW will take the properties/attributes of the text block into which it is being pasted.
On the other hand if you copy-paste text from some other text block inside fireworks itself, then those attributes will be preserved on pasting.

That's exactly what i want, but it's not working...
I have allready styled text in a textbox in FW...
I want to copy some text from TextMate or another editor into this textbox... When i do this the styling from the textbox dissappears...
